Accepting Bids for Sale of Surplus Equipment/Materials

The Board of County Road Commissioners of Keweenaw County, Michigan will receive sealed bids at its office located at 1916 Fourth Street, PO Box 379, Mohawk, Michigan 49950 until 1:00 P.M. ET on Thursday, September 10, 2026 for MISC. OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT.
ALL ITEMS AT THIS SALE WILL BE SOLD SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
All items will be sold "As is" and "Where is" and must be removed at Buyer’s risk and expense. Keweenaw County Road Commission is not responsible for any damage on any items left at the site after the sale. Payment for purchases must be made by cash, cashier’s check, personal or company check only when accompanied by letter or credit from your bank for this particular sale, and proof of identity. Payment for all purchases must be made within 7 days of the sale. If payment in full is not received within 7 days, the bid will be rejected. SEVEN (7) WORKING DAYS WILL BE ALLOWED TO REMOVE ITEMS PURCHASED AT THIS SALE. PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE WITH COUNTY PERSONNEL TO COORDINATE PICK UP. The sale condition of the item is as of the above bid date.
All miscellaneous items of sale are subject to a six (6) percent sales tax in accordance with Michigan Sales Tax Act #167, P.A. 1993, as amended, or sales tax license number must be provided.
All transfers of titles or application for titles, as applicable, are the responsibility of the buyer.
THE LIST OF MATERIAL OFFERED FOR SALE AND ITS DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN COMPILED FROM AVAILABLE DATA, BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTY OR WARRANTY ON THE PART OF THE KEWEENAW COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION RELATIVE THERETO AS TO NUMBER OR QUANTITY, KIND, CHARACTER, DESCRIPTION, CONDITION, SUITABILITY FOR USE FOR WHICH IT MAY BE DESIRED OR IN ANY RESPECT WHATSOEVER. ALL MATERIAL IS SOLD "AS IS" AND "WHERE IS".
All items are available for inspection at the Road Commission in Mohawk on the following days/times: AUGUST 26th, 27th and SEPTEMBER 2nd, 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Contact the KCRC office at 906-337-1610 for a detailed listing/bid form of all items. Detailed listing/bid form is also available on Keweenaw County Road Commission website at keweenawcountyonline.org. BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN AN ENVELOPE, SEALED AND ON THE BID FORM PROVIDED.
The Keweenaw County Board of Road Commissioners reserves the right to reject any bid, which in the opinion of the Board, is unreasonable.
The Board of County Road Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any defects in the bids and to make an award in any manner it may determine to be in the best interest of the Road Commission.
