KCRC Abandonment of 3rd Street, South of Cedar, Eagle Harbor
RESOLUTION FOR ABSOLUTE ABANDONMENT AND DISCONTINUANCE
OF A PORTION OF COUNTY RIGHT OF WAY

WHEREAS: The petition for absolute abandonment of the below described roadway
having been filed; a certificate of ownership and occupancy having been attached as required by statute; the fact that the statute states that ownership of all of the abutting property negates the need for a hearing; the Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Keweenaw having reviewed the maps, roadway, and petition, and otherwise being fully advised;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND DETERMINED that it is in the best
interest of the Keweenaw County Road Commission, the users and owners of property abutting the right of way involved, and the public to absolutely abandon and discontinue the below described portion of the right of way in Eagle Harbor Township, Keweenaw County, Michigan;

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the below described portion of 3rd Street in the Plat of Eagle Harbor, Eagle Harbor Township, Keweenaw County, is hereby absolutely abandoned and discontinued:

3rd Street, lying south of Cedar Street, abutting lots 290, 291, 292 and 293 within Blocks 31 and 32, north of Eliza Creek within the Plat of Village of Eagle Harbor, running approximately 65 feet south, as recorded in Liber 1, page 19, Keweenaw County Clerk and Registrar of Deeds Office.

The Foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Joe Waananen and supported by Board Member Richard Schaefer.

Upon roll call vote, the following voted "Aye"; Joe Waananen, John Karvonen
and Richard Schaefer. "Nay"; None

The Chairman declared the resolution adopted.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution made and adopted at the regular meeting of Board of County Road Commissioners of Keweenaw County, Michigan, held on the 10th day of July, 2018.
