Rezoning of Mt. Horace Greeley 4:00 PM October 6th

The two Planning Commissions will hold a joint public hearing at 4:00 PM October 6, 2020 at the Keweenaw County Courthouse, 5095 Fourth Street, Eagle River. The hearing will consider the rezoning of parcels 201-06-101-001 (Eagle Harbor Township) and 402-31-303-003-and 402-31-303-004 (Houghton Township), AKA MT. Horace Greeley, site of the former Calumet Radar Station. The proposal will change the zoning classification from Conservation Environmentally Protected (for the Eagle Harbor Twp. Parcel) and Planned Unit Development (for the Houghton Twp. Parcels) to Resort Service 2 (RS-2). The public may appear at the noted public hearing in person or by counsel, be hears and submit evidence with respect to the proposed changes. Due to COVID 19, in person attendance will be limited. The hearing can also be attended by ZOOM. See below. Written comments may also be submitted NLT 4:00 PM on Oct 5, 2020, addressed to the Eagle Harbor Clerk, 321 Center St., Eagle Harbor MI 49950 or County Zoning, 5095 Fourth St, Eagle River MI 49950.
